Columbia Writers Series: Anis Mojgani

The event will take place in the Penguin Union Building (PUB) Rooms 258 A-B.

The Columbia Writers Series brings acclaimed authors to Clark College to read their literary work and discuss their process and experience to students and the Clark community. All are welcome to attend!

Anis Mojgani is the 10th Poet Laureate of Oregon. A national and international poetry slam champion, his work has appeared on HBO, NPR, and in the pages of the NY Times. The author of six books of poetry, the opera libretto Sanctuaries, and a forthcoming children’s picture book, his latest collection is, The Tigers, They Let Me. Originally from New Orleans, Anis lives in Portland Oregon where he serves on the board of the organization, Literary Arts, and can be found making art in his studio and occasionally reading poems from out its window at sunset to others.
