Activism looks different for everyone. And there are LOTS of different ways to get involved.
Come meet folks who advocate in our community – learn about the, what they do, and how you can get involved.
From making resistance art to showing up and speaking to your elected officials.
We take care of us and it’s starts by building strong connections.
No previous experience required – and you won’t be forced to participate in some weird ice-breakers. Come to learn and connect.
This will be a monthly event with different groups speaking.
Here’s the format to expect:
5-6pm: Advocate social hour. Come early to meet other adovocates, fold some zines, and just hang.
6-7pm:
Speakers. Each speaker will have 10 mins to talk to the group about who
they are and what they do. After that we’ll open for general questions
for about 5 mins.
7-8pm: After all
speakers have finished, we will have another “social time.” This allows
folks to connect directly with any speaker(s) they resonated with, ask
more questions, join their email list, etc.
Masks required
