Encaustic is one of the oldest forms of painting, with paint made from pure pigment mixed with beeswax and resin. The mixture is applied hot, then reheated to fuse the layers together. You can also collage with wax instead of glue to incorporate thin papers once you get used to working with the wax.

I offer a wide variety of workshops, both online and in my private studio in Vancouver, Washington. I offer classes for all levels, and all supplies are included for most classes so all you have to do is come over and paint. Let’s create together!
